 The way Students Can Help Those in Poverty Without Financial Resources. It’s admirable that in spite of your own financial constraints, you still wish to assist someone in need. While you as a student might not be able to provide financial support right once, there are still a number of ways you can help: • Demonstrate compassion and empathy: Sometimes, a kind words or a thoughtful act can make someone’s day. Give the person your attention, inquire about their well-being, and pay attention to what they are saying. Be a welcoming presence or provide words of encouragement. • Find local charities or organisations that assist those in need and volunteer your time there.
